Leadership

Josh Rey

Managing Partner

Josh joined EIS in the summer of 2013 and is our President and Managing Partner. He leads the EIS’s number one goal of maintaining integrity, honesty and professionalism in all we do. Each day he works to make EIS the premier Inspection Company in the industry. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and accounting team as well as the Vice President of Operations and entire team, Josh leads what he feels is a “family.” “Our employees really care about our clients and about this company. And they know the feeling is mutual. We have clients that go out of their way to tell us that they appreciate our honesty and integrity, and that is a direct result of the quality of people here at EIS.” Josh worked his way up through the ranks, providing inspection and construction management for various pipeline and facility projects over nearly 20 years. Prior to joining EIS, he was the Operations Manager for the Rocky Mountain district of MBF Inspection Services. Josh is married with two daughters. His family enjoys camping and attending his daughters’ sport activities.

Jon Rey

Managing Partner

Jon joined us in 2014 and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of EIS, leading our competent team of managers in all areas including operations, employee relations, client services and development as well as new project management and development. Jon brings a depth of experience in pipeline/facility construction and operations to his role here at EIS. Over 20 years of applied experience beginning his career welding on pipeline/facilities, operating natural gas/cryogenic plants and construction management/inspecting various large capital construction projects: natural gas and liquid pipelines, compressor stations, well pads, oil refinery improvements, communication systems, process buildings, road, highway and bridge.  His communication skills and solution-driven work ethic provide for excellent service to our clients and strong relationships with our employees. Jon’s passion is providing solutions to complex issues and projects, knowing his strong team is capable of doing so. Prior to joining EIS, Jon worked with URS as a Field Services Manager. Married with children, Jon is an avid hunter, golfer and team roper.

Kari Jenkins

Chief Financial Officer

Kari joined us in early 2017 and is responsible for the oversight of payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Financial reporting, tax and day-to-day accounting management consumes her work day. She holds a BA in Accounting and enjoys the management role she holds with EIS. She enjoys the family atmosphere of EIS. Prior to joining EIS, Kari worked with Crossfire, LLC as their Controller. Originally from Wyoming, Kari moved to Colorado while in college. She is married and has two daughters. Her passions are family, traveling to show livestock as well as camping, fishing, hunting and hiking.

Justin Burt

Operations Manager

Justin joined EIS in 2013 and leads our company’s operations. His focus areas are building strong relationships with our clients, hiring competent team members that are perfectly suited for our clients’ needs and running an efficient and effective day to day operation. Justin puts safety first and hires team members who mirror that concern. With more than 11 years of experience in our industry as well as eight years of hands-on experience as a welder, he brings a grass roots understanding of operations and team management. Justin enjoys exceeding client expectations with the help of the EIS team. Prior to joining us, he was a Welding Inspector at MBF Inspection. His wife Caitlin is also on our EIS team. She and his son help him to enjoy hunting, fishing and family time. He is also a hunting guide in New Mexico.

Jason McInnes

Operations Manager

Jason joined EIS in 2018 and leads the operations for EIS through his commitment to maintaining and enhancing the company culture; providing superior client service by assembling the right team from project conception to delivery; ensuring staff are fully supported; and providing project management leadership. Jason has extensive industry experience. After welding for many years, his career turned to supervision of the construction of compressor stations and pipelines, carrying multiple products. He then moved to the performing inspections on pipeline and production facilities, and prior to joining us at EIS was the Division Manager for Crossfire, LLC. Jason’s commitment to EIS is due to the core values that EIS has as a company — integrity, honesty and professionalism. “The clients are some of the best in the business because of the shared values with the EIS team, the shared success comes from Teamwork, Integrity, and the people.” Jason is married, has two children and enjoys boating, hiking and golfing.

Adam McInnes

Operations Manager

Adam began with EIS in early 2019 and is responsible for employee recruitment, maintaining quality client satisfaction and relationships and assuring control of cost and budget requirements. Adam has extensive knowledge of plant and station construction and brings a history of fantastic relationships within the oil and gas industry to our company. He loves the family-oriented workplace of EIS and continues to enhance his client relationships. Prior to joining our firm, Adam was with Schwob Energy Services as their VP of Operations. Adam is married and has two young children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, cheering his children on in sports and spending time with family and friends.

Kellie Jaworsky

Human Resources

Kellie joined us in 2013 and is responsible for all things Human Resources. Employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and purchasing are all included in Kellie’s daily work life here at EIS. She has a depth of experience in insurance and employee relations. And with that, Kellie is probably the number one fan of the EIS culture of family. “Our leadership cares about our employees and our clients – truly. It is a gift as an HR person to foster this culture.” Prior to joining EIS, Kellie was in the medical services industry. Married with three grown kids, Kellie enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping and traveling when possible.

Aubry Bryson

Controller

Aubry joined the EIS team in early 2019 and is responsible for banking, accounts payable and general accounting at our company. She brings over 10 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting to her position, six spent within the industries we serve. She was with Crossfire Aggregate Services as their controller prior to joining us. Aubry loves the family atmosphere and community support that is part of the EIS fabric. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake and camping and loves the company of her fur babies.

Mindy Paulek

Environmental Manager

Mindy joined our team in 2014 and is responsible for managing the Environmental Department through project management and providing environmental compliance consultation and documentation to our clients. Mindy’s depth of knowledge and experience with natural resource management, her strong working relationships with agencies and clients brings a high level of trust and confidence in the environmental initiatives we provide for our clients. She loves the culture of EIS and working with supportive and engaged people. Prior to joining us, Mindy was a Senior Biologist with URS Corporation. A fourth generation Durangoan, Mindy has a large extended local family. She loves the outdoors and anything adventurous. Archery, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, camping and loving the mountains we live in are her passions.

Sandra Ollier

Business Operations Manager

Sandra became an integral part of the EIS team in 2017, where she provides invaluable support to our Executive Team. Her role involves overseeing the day-to-day general office duties, ensuring seamless operations and enabling our Executives to focus on their core responsibilities. Sandra’s exceptional communication skills and adeptness at multitasking are instrumental in maintaining the smooth functioning of our operations, ensuring that our clients remain a top priority.

At EIS, the work environment fosters a sense of family among employees, a culture that Sandra treasures and extends to our customers and clients.

Prior to embarking on her journey with EIS, Sandra gained valuable experience as a court judicial assistant at the La Plata County Combined Courts, refining her organizational and administrative skills.

Outside of work, Sandra embodies her roles as a dedicated wife and mother to two wonderful children. Her family’s shared passion for the outdoors takes them frequently to lakes, campsites, fishing spots, and hiking trails. Sandra travels often and finds joy in cheering on her children as they participate in competitive sports, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support within her family unit.

Joey Birkelbach

Safety Manager

Joey first joined our team in the beginning of 2019 as a safety inspector in West Texas where he mostly supported the pipeline projects for Western Midstream.

Julia Koschke

Projects Control

Julia joined us in the summer of 2019 and is responsible for timesheet entry, accounts payable and man-hour reporting.  Her attention to accuracy and detail as well as her compassion and concern assures the success of her fellow team members. She enjoys the open-communication atmosphere of EIS and appreciates that everyone is welcoming and happy to be at work each day. Prior to joining us, Julia was the Accounts Payable Administrator for Mountain Capital Partners. She is a La Plata County native and is married with two children. Outside of work Julia and her family enjoy horseback riding, ranching, hunting, camping, and four wheeling in the mountains.

Pam Rakes

HR Specialist

Pam joined EIS in 2019 and is responsible for Health Benefits enrollment and 401K enrollment for our team members. Pam has an in-depth knowledge of the complexities of health insurance and assists employees in understanding the best options and choices for their individual needs. She loves the family oriented nature of EIS and the leadership of our organization’s drive to see people succeed…both together as a company and as individuals. Prior to joining us, Pam was a Clinical Financial Liaison with Centura Health. A Texas native, Pam and her husband have two grown daughters. Her family enjoys spending time at the lake boating and enjoying the outdoors.

Wendy Malarsie

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Wendy joined the EIS team in 2014 and is responsible for Accounts Receivable, client invoicing and collections and efficiently and effectively monitoring man-hours for clients.  Wendy’s attention to detail ensures timely and accurate billing. She is a true team player and enjoys the atmosphere at EIS. “Working with friends and this wonderful environment is why I love coming to work each day.” Prior to joining us, Wendy worked as a retail manager. A Durango native, Wendy enjoys reading and writing, travel, camping, cooking and hiking. Time spent with family (especially her nephew), friends and her “fur babies” is her passion.

Kara Pearson

Payroll Specialist

Kara joined EIS in early 2020, where she plays a crucial role in overseeing payroll transactions and processing for our extensive team. Known for her exceptional work ethic, Kara thrives in the dynamic and supportive environment at EIS.

Before joining us, Kara honed her skills at F&M Construction, where she delved into various responsibilities such as time management, accounts payable, and billing. Her journey began at Ignacio High School, where she graduated in 1998. Not content with just being an alumnus, Kara is actively involved in the school’s governance as a member of the school board.

Apart from her professional and educational pursuits, Kara dedicates her time serving on the board of the Colorado Junior Swine Association and is passionate about raising and showcasing pigs with her two daughters across the county. The trio actively participates in local FFA and 4-H activities, further cementing their commitment to the community.
